Wedgwood April Flowers 53-Piece English Bone China Dinnerware Collection for Eight, 1983-1988

Beautifully made in England, now a discontinued pattern, April Flowers by Wedgwood is a Victorian-style beauty in understated grace with delicate hand-painted pastel pink, lavender and baby blue flowers with a light lime-green leaf detail, against a swirl rimmed, slightly off-white English bone china background.  

This 53-piece, lightweight and easy to hold dinnerware set for eight, with an beautifully shiny glaze, is so pretty, bright, and an adaptable year-round choice, ready to blend with any occasion.

About the colors: This was a challenging pattern to photograph; the floral detail is delicate and light, and the background color is slightly off-white, not bright white. The flowers are colored in light pastels of pink (color), lavender (color) and baby blue (color) with lime- green (color) leaf detail.

All pieces have the black urn and gold "Wedgwood Bone China, Made In England" mark.

Condition: Great. Light to very light use marks. One soup bowl has light yellow coloring to, about 1/2 inch on the rim side, not crazing, perhaps from manufacturing); one tiny blue spec is seen to the vegetable bowl (see last two photos).

There are no chips, cracks, stains, or crazing. The entire set is clean, clear, and sharp. The glaze is shiny, smooth, and well intact. As lovely and polished as one would expect of a Wedgwood design.
