Royal Doulton England The Guardsman 9" Bone China Figurine, 1992-1995

He is as iconic as the woman he guards. 

This handmade Royal Doulton figurine of The Guardsman beautifully designed by artist William K. Harper, captures the steadfast soldier, flawlessly disciplined in his fierce black bearskin hat, with faint light shadows, a standout red tunic, black pants and shoes.

A cobblestone base, to represent the grounds of Buckingham Palace, supports the guard's weighted rifle. An upstanding, hard-to-find addition to any Royal Doulton lover's collection.

Dimensions: 9 3/4"H

Condition: Great. The separated rifle-bayonet appears to have once been glued to the figurine and came loose;  it is intact and would hold well against the figurine with a dab of clear glue.

There are no chips, cracks, crazing, stains, or repairs. This figurine is clean with vivid color and a very polished glaze.  A very nice piece.
