Royal Albert Tourmaline Summer Bounty Series England Teacup/Saucer Set

Royal Albert produced the Summer Bounty Series in 1988 with six designs,  Amethyst, Jade, Pearl, Ruby, Sapphire, and Tourmaline.

Black tourmaline is thought to ward off evil spirits and promote healing while pink tourmaline signals, freedom from stress, joy and happiness. 

Symbolic of these properties is this striking Royal Albert Tourmaline cup with its meaningful, unusually large black rose, countered with a healthy pink rose. Along with hazy gray and mint green leaves, and accented with sprayed gold trim, this Gainsborough shaped, somewhat gothic, gorgeous design, with all its meaning, is more than just a cup for those who are chosen to drink from it.

Condition: Great. Some of the brushed gold trim on the saucer spills over to the underside edge. This is a very minor observation, but noted. There are no chips, cracks, stains, or crazing. The design is clear and the glaze well intact.
