Tall Cut Crystal Glass 16" Decorative Pedestal Candy Jar with Stunning Finial On Lid

A prismatic stand out.

Everywhere you turn this exquisite piece there is beautifully cut and polished detail. Deep set frosted cut flowers are framed amid star cuts, thumbprints, fluted edging, and a 12 point star. Each cut reflects color into the glass and amazes with dramatic brilliance.

The star of the show, however, is the lid. A mix of fan cuts, radiant sun etchings, crosshatching simplifies into a glorious 3 1/4" faceted optical prism finial. Just stunning.

Put the lid onto the urn and both fluted edge cuts match. A gorgeous piece no matter how you turn it.

Origin: Unknown, perhaps Bohemian; pre-owned

Dimensions: 16"H x 5 1/2"W (est) with a 4 3 /4"W base.

Condition: Very Good. An almost non-existent ding to the urn edging is noted as a very small rough feel, along with a chip to the rim that has been smoothed out. (please see last photos).

There are two filaments spotted within the glass-one is at the base, above the thumbprint design,and the other, like a bubble, near the rim edge of the urn.

Because this piece has so many detailed cuts, none of these imperfections is readily noticeable, nor detracts from the incredible beauty of the piece.
