Amethyst Kutani by Georges Briard Signed Footed Tableware Cake Plate

A  border of repetitive purple and green geometric panels encase patterns of tan leaf and red floral design. Separated by a clean white circle, an interior hexagonal border of intricately decorated blue and red, outlined in tan, breaks free into a white center of large violet flowers and green leaf.

By award winning designer, Georges Briard  (1917-2005), this dramatic and bold footed tableware cake plate carries on its underside the wording "Interpretation of 19th century Japanese porcelain circa 1865. From the Private Collection of Georges Briard", and carries his signature.

Condition: Great. The are no chips, cracks, stains, and the design is clear with no wear to the glaze.
