With its elegantly lightweight cup in the Atholl shape, made between 1958 and 1966, this bright white bone china beauty by Shelley, is delicately detailed in soft, pink-stemmed, yellow primrose flowers and bright green leaves.
The saucer, slightly heavier and with a ribbed feel is matched with three sets of the floral detail and, like the cup and handle, is trimmed in bright gold. Simple and serene.
Origin: England; pre-owned
Dimensions: Cup- 2 1/2"H x 3 3/4"W opening
Saucer- 5 5/8"W
Condition: Good. A gold paint smudge and speck seen the the front of the cup; thin-lined loss to the floral artwork on three raised ribbed surface areas on the saucer.
There are no chips, cracks, stains, or crazing. The cup pings nicely.
Teacups are like small pieces of jewelry-they tell a story, they are displayed, shown off with pride, and prized from one generation to another. Like jewelry the time comes when such beauties are not so 'minty" young. And yet these lovely items have lasted so long for a reason.
They are still in their prime. Seasoned with time-honored character.
Our goods are unique, quality time pieces of the past which have been inspected, researched and carefully handled to be prized. We will never sell any teacups with cracks or major damages. Our condition findings, along with our photos, are detailed as thorough and honestly as we can see, as your satisfaction is our main priority.
