Shelley Harebell English Fine Bone China Teacup and Saucer Set. c.1945-1966

A pod-like band of blue scrolls decorates the inside rim while blooming flowers and green leaf wrap around both the interior and exterior of this gloriously gentle blue Harebell design by Shelley China.

Adding a beautiful touch to the design is the somewhat rustic, pastel blue cup foot and looped handle, contrasted overall by the sophisticated, polished gold saucer and cup trim. Simply lovely.

Dimensions:  Cup- 2 1/4"H x 3 7/8"W opening

                      Saucer- 5 1/2"W

Condition: Great. Very faint blue paint smudge is seen to the front upper/lower right. Some surface scratch marks to the underside of the saucer (see photo); they do not affect the integrity of saucer.

Teacups are like small pieces of jewelry-they tell a story, they are displayed, shown off with pride, and prized from one generation to another. Like jewelry the time comes when such beauties are not so 'minty" young.  And yet these lovely items have lasted so long for a reason.
