Pickard Pink and Gold Floral Hand Painted & Signed Edward S. Challinor, c.1938 Demitasse Cup/ Saucer Collection of Five

The pastel pinks are as feminine as pink can get, and all beautifully trimmed with bright, thick 24K gold bands and handles.

These five stunning timeless works of art are hand painted over the inside cup surface and are signed by noted Pickard artist Edward S. Challinor. Six extra saucers, each with a different Challinor flower artwork are also included. 

Born in 1877 to Staffordshire potters, Challinor studied art and apprenticed with Royal Doulton Potteries before joining Pickard China in Chicago from 1894-1938, where he specialized in landscapes and roses.

Condition: Great. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. The design is clean, with no wear. The gold trim, including the handles is intact, with minor wear. We did notice a slight pin dot in the same spot on the underside of each handle (in the same spot, perhaps from manufacturing?).
