With Victorian flair, this dreamy E.B. Foley Windsor pattern tea cup and saucer set brings understated elegance to any teatime sitting. Bordered by a laced green background and tan scrolls, an outer band of roses and leaf detail surrounds a garland rimmed bouquet of like flowers.
Feminine and ultra charming bone china pair with a lovely, delicate ping to the cup.
Origin: England; pre-owned; 1948-1963
Dimensions: Cup- 2 1/4"H x 3 5/8" opening
Saucer-5 1/2"W
Condition: Great vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, stains, crazing. We noted an extremely faint line from manufacturing (barely noticeable-see last photo), which runs along the outside rim where the teacup bends; it is very light, beneath the glaze and does not impact the quality or clear, bright appearance of the exterior.
The design is sharp, the colors are charmingly vivid, the glaze is shiny, and the gold trim is bright with no wear.
Teacups are like small pieces of jewelry-they tell a story, they are displayed, shown off with pride, and prized from one generation to another. Like jewelry the time comes when such beauties are not so 'minty" young. And yet these lovely items have lasted so long for a reason.
They are still in their prime. Seasoned with time-honored character.
Our goods are unique, quality time pieces of the past which have been inspected, researched and carefully handled to be prized. We will never sell any teacups with cracks or major damages. Our condition findings, along with our photos, are detailed as thorough and honestly as we can see, as your satisfaction is our main priority.
