Elegantly scallop-shaped with a bright white interior and reflective gold trim, this ultra- feminine Colclough pattern is beautifully tinted in delicate mint green while graced with large and vibrant pink roses. To the cup and saucer pair is a matching square serving dish, a poised English bone china trio perfect for a intimate gathering of four.
Origin: England; pre-owned; c.1970's
Dimensions/ Quantities:
4 Cups- 2 7/8"H x 3 1/4" opening
4 Saucers- 5 1/2"W
4 Square Serving Plates- 6 1/4"W
Condition: Very Good. There is some general gold trim wear (yet it is still bright) and very light use marks to the plates, and tiny pepper specks, one each, noted to the cup interiors from production.
There are no chips, cracks, stains or crazing. Each piece is bright and polished and the cups have a nice ping. The design is clear and sharp, and the glaze is shiny and smooth. Very pretty.
Teacups are like small pieces of jewelry-they tell a story, they are displayed, shown off with pride, and prized from one generation to another. Like jewelry the time comes when such beauties are not so 'minty" young. And yet these lovely items have lasted so long for a reason.
They are still in their prime. Seasoned with time-honored character.
Our goods are unique, quality time pieces of the past which have been inspected, researched and carefully handled to be prized. We will never sell any teacups with cracks or major damages. Our condition findings, along with our photos, are detailed as thorough and honestly as we can see, as your satisfaction is our main priority.
