Produced from 1906 to 1991, Noritake's most opulent pattern, considered one of the most beautiful ever made, is generally known as design number 43061, 16034 or 175, and has been long admired for its hand-painted 24Kt gold enameled border detail.

Noritake's quality porcelain presents a bright white center and a light yellow, hand-tinted border, a subtle base for the elegance of gold gilt beaded rims, raised scrolls, floral bulbs, and it crowning glory, interpreted as the ornamental "Christmas Ball".

These twelve Christmas Ball dinner plates are a perfect choice to mix and match with any existing formal or Holiday place settings, amazing your guests with well-made, stunning, vintage elegance from one of the most esteemed china manufacturers.

Origin: Japan; pre-owned

Dimensions: 9 7/8"W

8 Dinner plates have the gold "175" mark, c. 1935-1991. The backside is smooth.

4 Dinner plates have the green number #16034 mark, registered in 1918 and are c. 1918-1930. The backside shows spin marks commonly seen in Noritake dinnerware from the time.

Condition: Great. Light use marks and gold loss to the rim side edges of some plates is noted.

The front gold border detail is bright, polished, and overall beautifully intact, although there are here and there minor spots of missing gold. We noticed the four green marked, older plates have a lighter yellow band, and also, a bright, yet slightly less rich gilt detail, perhaps from manufacturing at the time.

Each plate is clean, with no chips, cracks, stains, or crazing. A beautifully maintained collection.
