Andy Warhol Signed Campbell's Pop Art Tableware Soup Tureen with Ladle by Block

In 1962 Andy Warhol painted 32 canvases, one for each Campbell's soup flavor available at the time. So was born the Pop Art movement. 

This fitting "soup" tureen, by Block China, pays homage to Warhol's iconic soup can art and comes with a domed lid and ladle. Warhol's signature is not only on the lid, but on the ladle, tureen rim, and underside. 

This amazing vintage tableware collectible was licensed by both the Andy Warhol Foundation and the Campbell Soup Company, as shown on the underside.

A tribute to a can of soup, a one-of-a-kind artist-a rare and unique piece of the American scene. 

Origin: Portugal; pre-owned; c.1990's-2000's

Dimensions: 9"H (w/lid) x 10 1/2"W (handle to handle)

Condition: Very Good/Great. There are some bumps in the ceramic underside from manufacturing along with a light yellow mark along the bottom edge. We noted the underside Campbell's can logo is surrounded by a yellowish tint but it actually appears to be from the matte logo decal.

This charming soup tureen is free of chips, cracks, or crazing. The interior is clean and  clear. The design is sharp and bright, and the glaze is shiny and well intact. The lid and ladle are in excellent condition.
