Located within the Forbidden City in Beijing, China, The Palace Museum selected Lenox to reproduce its prized porcelain vase, named The Peony Vase of the Ch'ing Emperor. The vase reproduction was so true to the original that it was museum-authorized to bear the reign mark of the Yung-cheng (Qing Dynasty) emperor. It is found on the underside, above the Lenox mark.
This vase does not come with its original wood base, but it is, by itself, a stunning piece.
Vibrant colors and glorious peonies, against a pure white background, create a sense of nature's robust vitality while a wafting vine serenely winds around the vase neck. Heavenly!
