What fascinating pieces!
Known today as manufacturers of optical, medical, and electronic products, Hoya-at one time (1945-2009)-also created crystal and art glass. These stunning, gargoyle/ art deco-styled, hefty bookends masterfully capture the dominant essence of the eagle, respectfully perched upon a thick, ribbed glass platform. Very, very hard to find quality glass wonders.

Condition: Great. Few, small surface, plus an arched 2" scratch are noted to the underside (one light, small one seen to the back of one bookend). There are no chips, cracks, stains or other issues seen. Both pieces are clean, clear and extraordinarily polished.
