Georges Briard Christmas Fantasy Cake Stand and Serving Plate Set of Four.

What a lovely way to enjoy the Christmas spirit during a small tea time dessert gathering.

Created by renowned ceramic designer, Georges Briard (1917-2005), Christmas Fantasy biblically celebrates a colorfully winged angel, harp in hand, above an everlasting, evergreen branch.

The backside of each plate (4) offers an interpretation of the design with the words "Gabriel blew his horn and under its spell a magical angel was born." A very well-meaning and joyful set.

Condition: Very Good/ Great. These are vintage piece with some light surface use/ storage marks and some wear to the gold trim edge and harp (very light but no loss) seen to the cake stand. Some light use/ storage marks seen to the plates. The underside of the cake stand has some often seen, light glue residue from manufacturing (seen when upside down only). Despite what is noted the pieces are in lovely presentable condition.

There are no chips, cracks, stains, or crazing. Each piece is clean. The design is sharp, the colors show no loss, and the glaze is shiny, with no loss.
