We have been unable to locate the maker of this stunning butterfly wing footed bowl. We really cannot find it anywhere!
Perhaps made by Cambridge or New Martinsville glass, the sterling silver (marked) overlay berries pattern does suggest that it was applied by the Silver City Glass Company in Meriden, CT., the elusive four-toed footed detail will quickly become a glass lovers conversation piece and quest.

Condition: Very Good. Straw marks (shear lines) seen to the bowl base. We are not experts in the process of silver overlay application but we noticed what appears to be a yellow adhesive to the underside of the silver overlay rim. We felt a minor nick to the tip of one foot.
This bowl is clean, clear and has a nice polish. The silver overlay is intact, bright and beautifully polished.
