Here's something interesting... Something incredibly gorgeous!

We put two individual Colonial Pink Fenton pieces, each stunningly crafted, together to make a fountain-like centerpiece. The result is a standout combination of American art glass that works and confirms why Fenton is so beloved and prized by collectors.

The 12" round bowl (pattern #4427), an inverted thumbprint and ruffled edge pressed glass pattern, bears a depression at the center into which the 6" pedestal compote of the same design (pattern #4429) sits perfectly. Used separately, as a chip and dip combination, or as a floating flower base and candy/mint dish, this matching set is indeed an eye-catching conversation beauty.

Fenton began pressing its oval logo onto its pieces in 1970. Prior to that foil labels and stickers were used. These two pieces do not have the embossed oval mark and are believed to be older pieces.

Of interest, we did notice the large bowl is pressed in four moulds and the pedestal compote in three moulds.

Origin: USA; pre-owned; pre-1970

Dimensions: Round Bowl- 12" W

                     Pedestal Compote- 6"H x 5 5/8"W

Condition: Great/Very Good. The interior center depression of the 12" bowl bears an iridescent marking (see photo) and some very, very thin lines that cannot be felt and appear to be between the interior and exterior of the  base. Aside from these notations there are no chips, cracks or issues with these beautiful pieces.
