Libbey Nautical Flag Frosted Glass Tom Collins Glasses Collection of Six. c.1955-1960's

Libbey Glass Company created these six Mid-20th Century, frosted Tom Collins glasses featuring bright enameled nautical signal flags, raised on a mast above what appear to be the translations.

Colorful and relaxing fun for any beach, boating, or nautical themed gathering. 

The meanings listed are:

                                       Anchoring Is Prohibited!

                                       Proceeding at Slow Speed!

                                       Fairway is Clear!

                                       Try to come alongside!

                                       Coming to your assistance!

                                       Good Anchorage!

All glasses bear the cursive Libbey encircled "L" mark at the base.

Origin: USA; c.1955-1960's; pre-owned

Dimensions: 7"H x 2.5"W opening

Condition: Very Good/Great. Some frosted loss above the blue. yellow flag of the "Coming to your assistance" glass. Some fading to the glass with the "alongside" word.; we believe this is from manufacturing as the glass has a slight flatness to the area- it does not affect the integrity of the glass. We also don't know why, but each glass has one tiny white enamel dot from manufacturing.

Overall, for their age, these glasses are in wonderful vintage condition. They are clean, and free of chips, cracks, scratches, stains, and the frosted application is smooth.
