Glastonbury-Lotus Georgian Gold Round Cake Stand

Established in 1912, the Lotus Cut Glass Company, (Glastonbury-Lotus in 1960), was known for their signature gold application, matted antique in appearance, yet bright and polished when held to light, as evident in pieces such as this stunning cake stand.  

Elegant and rich, the 22-kt encrusted gold band, pressed over etched swirls and dots, sits atop the clear glass plate which is supported by a sturdy harp-shaped footed stem. What a beautiful piece.

Dimensions: 11 7/8"W x 4 7/8"H

Condition: Great. Light wear consistent with age. There is a small gold area with very light surface scuff, seen under close inspection, which is almost unnoticeable due to the swirl design and polish of the gold gilt. Some very light wear seen to a few trim pieces on the scalloped rim. A few use marks to the clear glass.

There are no chips, cracks, stains. The gold detail, noting the above, is intact and shiny.
