All clean pieces of this curated set have the black and red lettering "Villeroy and Boch, 1748 Luxembourg, Naif Christmas marks on the undersides.

Condition: Great. Surface (no abuse) use marks are noted to to the plates and serving pieces; no issues to the soup bowls, round vegetable bowl. coffee pot, and mugs.

Some manufacturing issues are noted, as seen in the last seven photos: the dinner and salad plates have two uniform pin-head sized unglazed depressions to the plates outer side edges; we are not sure why this occurred, but as they match perfectly in size and distance, and a few are beneath the glaze, it is believed this occurred during production (this is seen throughout, despite the difference in V&B yearly marks).

One dinner plate and one salad plate have paint marks on the outer side edge, and one plate has a rust colored paint speck within the white border (same color as cabin in design). One dinner and salad, though shiny, also have a slightly pebble-textured feel, also from manufacture. 

One sugar bowl has a spoon swirl to the interior base.

As this set is curated from different V&B yearly issues, one chop plate, square handled cake plate, creamer, sugar bowl has a heftier feel and slightly darker stoneware appearance to it, as opposed to the other of the pair. The quality is intact and the design is unchanged, just a little different and from an earlier production (different mark).

There are no chips, cracks, stains, crazing or repairs. Each plate is clean, the design is brightly colorful and intact. The heavy glaze (minus what is noted) is smooth and nicely polished.
