A lively pink and mauve pattern of swirls, curves, and dots define this highly ornate Sutherland bone china delight. As if framed by curtains, and amid bright white, are dainty bouquets taking center stage in English teatime grand style. What a clever way to position the flowers so they can be seen by the drinker (on the inside) and by others (to the side). Gorgeous lady.
Origin: Staffordshire, England; pre-owned
Dimensions: Cup- 2 7/8"H x 3 1/4" opening
Condition: Great. This is a very fresh and bright pair. The colors are vivid and the design is beautifully raised in some areas.
We noted paint and pattern transfer issues from manufacturing: A small paint smudge on the white lower area of the cup; a slight depression to the cup underside rim; a 1/4" area pattern transfer slip to the the saucer edge.
There are no chips, cracks, stains, crazing, or wear to this charming pair.
❤️ THE LOVE OF VINTAGE ❤️
Teacups are like small pieces of jewelry-they tell a story, they are displayed, shown off with pride, and prized from one generation to another. Like jewelry the time comes when such beauties are not so 'minty" young. And yet these lovely items have lasted so long for a reason.
They are still in their prime. Seasoned with time-honored character.
Our goods are unique, quality time pieces of the past which have been inspected, researched and carefully handled to be prized. We will never sell any teacups with cracks or major damages. Our condition findings, along with our photos, are detailed as thorough and honestly as we can see, as your satisfaction is our main priority.
