A striking design, pattern 1553 by England's Royal Worcester displays a eye-catching pink porcelain background against gold daisies and vine. Two dramatic spiked handles connect to side panels of raised leaf, scroll, and spike design which wraps around the bottom and rests upon an apricot-hued base of raised dots and curls.
While the interior is glossed in white, the bottle neck exterior is of pink, cream and apricot glaze and gold scroll detail. Near the mouth is an intricate, deep fountain-like or fleur-de-lis design and what appears to be a pair of drinking dolphins.
Unique in pink, such a beautifully rare Royal Worcester piece.

Origin: England; c. 1892; pre-owned
Dimensions: 8 3/4"H x 6"W (est.) x 3"W Base
Condition: Great. One very tiny ding (it cannot be seen, only felt; we will point this out with a label) in a lower raised area. An age-related ring stain and spot to the interior base of the vase is noted. Minimal gold spotted wear to the top gold trim, to both handle tip points, and to the base detail. A faint 3/4" C-shaped paint loss to a small area near the neck/ handle and a tiny black speck to the glaze of the neck is seen.
Other than what is noted, there are no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. The pink color is bright and the glaze is intact and shiny. The gold floral artwork is beautifully intact with no wear.
