A variety of hand painted blooming purple, pink, blue and white flowers, accompanied by olive/ rust green leaves, and beautifully outlined in gold, is set against a blush ivory canvas of smooth, marble-like Parian clay.

Aside from its elegantly scalloped spout, brightly trimmed in gold, and the heavily glossed ivory interior, the star of this design is the ribbed gold gilt handle. Stylized with leaf-like scrolls at the top, the bottom, a radiating sunflower, is pressed against a unique flattened side,

This 134 year-old piece is marked in puce (purple) with the letter "z" below the stamp, dated to 1888, the registration number "29115" and style number "1094"

Origin: England; c.1888; pre-owned

Dimensions: 8 3/4"H x 7 1/2"W

Condition: Great. Light age-related wear to the handle gilt and base gilt band.

There are no chips, cracks, stains, crazing, wear or repairs. The jug is clean and the detail is sharp, the colors vivid with no wear to the gold outlines.
