Issued between 1939 and 1949 this stunning mint green chrysanthemum and black detail teacup and saucer pair by Paragon bears the Royal Warrants of both Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth I (the Queen Mother), and her predecessor, Queen Mary.
A pastel mint green and a hand painted pink, yellow, and green leaf display is set against dramatic black leaf detail and swag/scroll decoration. A touch of gold trim softens the contrast to turn this unique Paragon bone china beauty into an elegant addition to any collectors home.

A very few manufacturing notations include one speck to the cup, a very light mist-like black paintbrush mark against the cup mint green background, and very light specks to the saucer only seen under close observation. To the underside of the saucer we spotted a very light hue of mint green, with two specks of paint.
There are no chips, cracks, stains, crazing or repairs. The detail is sharp and the colors bright with no wear. The gold trim is bright and shows no wear, and the glaze is smooth and intact.
