Blue/gray scrolls and a tan border band around delicate pink roses in this translucent and creamy white ceramic design by Noritake, dated with their registered c.1912 Nippon back stamp. 

This antique Portland pattern collection of ultra light teacups (which weigh less than one ounce each), sturdy saucers and luncheon plates, presents four sophisticated  3-piece place settings, an impressive choice for any quiet and intimate gathering.

Origin: Japan, pre-owned; c. 1912-1921

Condition: Very Good. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs to this well maintained collection. Some minor age wear to the gold trim on the cup handles is noted.The design is clear with no wear and the glaze is shiny. Two saucers show slight glaze imperfections on the underside. There is some bubble cratering to the undersides of some dishes, a firing issue noted in some early Noritake pieces. 

There are three different backstamps, all within the 1912 year range: one is light green with a red "Portland", one is light green with a red "Portland" but with "Made In Japan" and Japanese characters and model number #13673 added to the base, and the third is a red "Noritake", "Portland", and "Nippon" surrounding a light green wreath with the"M" in the center.
