Designed in 1893 as "Genoese" by the Dalzell, Gilmore and Leighton Glass Company the modern-named "Eye Winker" was later reproduced by L.G. Wright between 1964 and 1997, and thereafter by Mosser Glass.
We are not 100% sure if this an L.G. Wright or Mosser creation (it is not a Dalzell antique), but one thing is for certain-this candy dish is an eye-catcher!
This beautifully pressed-and hefty- glass candy dish is textured everywhere with raised, bulbous "cannon balls" and those hypnotic, beaded "winking eyes", small eyes on the ribbed, dome-like lid, medium sized-eyes on the base, and large, glorious eyes in the center. (Here's looking at you!)
Origin: USA; pre-owned
