Johann Haviland Bavaria Turquoise/ Gold and Floral Demitasse Cup and Saucer Set

If dainty were defined, this design would be the icon.

A thick band of bright gold encircles an airy bouquet of pink, blue, yellow flowers bundled in foliage. This gives way to a band of regal turquoise and delicate gold filigree. The beautifully curved saucer, like a bowler hat, makes this thin Bavaria fine china set  a standout in any collection. 

Small and "high pinkie" worthy.

Condition: Very good. Very minor vintage wear to the gold bands. There are no chips, cracks, stains, scratches or crazing. The trim is bright and glaze is well intact.

Teacups are like small pieces of jewelry-they tell a story, they are displayed, shown off with pride, and prized from one generation to another. Like jewelry the time comes when such beauties are not so 'minty" young.  And yet these lovely items have lasted so long for a reason.
