Gillinder Amber Glass Pug Dog Puppy 5" Figurine, c.1990's

Founded in 1861 and still thriving today as a maker of durable and quality engineered molded glass products, Gillinder Glass also, at one point, manufactured novelty items such as this incredibly cute- and heavy- amber pug dog with a bow.

Made during the 1990's from revised older molds this figurine has both newer style features of a raised round disc at the base and the "Gillinder Glass" molded trademark lettering on the underside. While the older models are certainly sought after by collectors, there is no doubt that even newer styles, such as this piece, will one day be equally prized for simply being five inches of sheer "lovable".

Dimensions: 5"H x  3 1/4"W x 3 3/4"D

Cindition: Great. There are no chips, cracks, stains, or wear. This smooth piece, understandably, has some lines from the pressed molds. The photos show light reflections to highlight the eye and body outlines, but the detail is actually smooth and clear. Very cute.
