The birds are singing and the flowers are bloom in their glory.
Beyond a fluted, scalloped, and gold trimmed edge, a wide pink, blue, and green foliage arrangement works its way toward the white porcelain center of Franconia's stunning Mandarin tableware pattern. Be sure to spot the robust bird on the vine while it touts its colorful wings.
Bright, lively, and downright gorgeous, your guests will no doubt be singing their praises.
Origin: Selb Bavaria, Germany; pre-owned; 1964-1965
Dimensions: 10 3/4"W
Condition: Great. Very minor imperfections were noted to some plates only when angled under direct light.
Minor utensil marks were noted on two plates, and a light 1/4 inch watermark to the glaze, unseen at first sight, was noted on four plates. The glaze marks appear the same in size and shape and are perhaps from manufacturing, not use.
This set is clean, free of any chips cracks, stains, or crazing.
The design is clear and vivid. The glaze, minus the marks, is smooth, shiny, and unworn. The gold trim is shiny and bright with no loss. Beautiful.
