Stunning examples of quality American glass design, and from one of the best, the Fostoria Glass Company (1887-1986).
One of Fostoria's most popular etch design, the Navarre etch (#327), designed by Edgar Bottome, displays two etchings, a scroll and floral swag to the front, and a smaller, rounded matching etch.
Set atop a textured water drip-like stem (stem #6016), the wonder of these glasses is the unique balloon-shaped, optic bowl. The etch, the bowl, the stem-all coming together to represent Fostoria at its most glorious.
Origin: USA; pre-owned
Dimensions: 7 1/4"H x 3 1/2"W opening
Condition: Very light, few thin surface marks seen under direct light; one glass has a left-sided slant of the etching near the rim (see last photo), seen to other same glasses online. There are no chips, cracks, stains, or wear. Each glass is clean, crystal clear, and polished.
