Its "Tea for Two and Two For Tea". Really!
This cheery collectible, white porcelain and melon shaped teapot, with a hand painted chintz rose design plays music as you pour and then stops when set down. The lid, which includes a tab and vent for safe pouring, sports a comfortably round finial, rounded like the handle. A final touch of class are the thin gold line accents throughout this bright and very charming lady.
A perfect teapot for any given day, a warm family holiday, or just a small get together. Melodious and always just right.
Origin: Japan, 1960-1983, import for Lefton, USA. Pre-owned
Dimensions: 9"W (spout to handle) x 6 1/4 Deep x 6 1/4"H (estimate)
Condition: Very good. There is one very small nick on the inside of the rim. The base has what appears to be a black stain but is actually a stamp mark beginning with a "z" or the number "2"-we are not sure. Other than what is noted there are no other issues. There are no cracks, crazing, stains, or repairs. The pattern is clear with no wear and the glaze well intact. The music element is easy to turn and plays well.
