Department 56 Hot Tub "Tea Time" Porcelain Novelty Teapot, 1989

A tub, hot water, some bubbly, now a nap.

This whimsical white, baby blue, and yellow hand painted novelty teapot presents a man and a woman relaxing in a swirl of blue bubbly water inside what appears to be a brown banded barrel. A yellow striped towel is tossed over the edge of the tub as a partially emptied bottle of drink offers a suggestion for why the blushing couple is sleeping.

The man's white, red striped hat is the spout and the woman's long blonde hair is gathered to form the bright yellow handle. Creative, and unique this beautifully detailed moment in time is all about fun.

Dimensions: 19 1/4"W x 6"H (est)

Condition: Good. Three very small nicks were noted. One is on the front rim of the man's hat, one is on the yellow towel, and the other on the back edge of the tub. The handle has minor glaze bumps from manufacturing (see last photos).
