Sturdily-made and downright beautiful, this water pitcher, with its interior of spun folds and a lightly speckled appearance, strikes an elegant posture with its hand-painted scenic blue and white country scene and striped handle. Just stunning to hold.

Condition: Great. A slight seam-like bump in the clay beneath the glaze, felt in the interior as well, toward the base and light bumps seen to the underside(see last photos); none of these affect the integrity of this hand-made pitcher. The handle and mouth stripes and blue rim paint both have a distressed/ smudge quality beneath the glaze (we are not sure if this is from manufacturing or if it was an intentional rustic attempt). This is a very nice, hefty piece of pottery.
