Chinese Macau Hand Painted Famille Rose Enamel Porcelain Child Pillow

Curved at the center to keep the head and spine in alignment during rest, ceramic "pillows" may be a hard sell to sleepers, but delightful pieces such as this porcelain child head rest will keep your guests alert with admiration.

The facial expression is lively and welcoming but it is the hand colored pink and mint green famille-styled enamel fish and floral detail that gives the piece its magic. With its pierced ears the thought of adding some bling is not a bad idea.

Condition: Great. There are no chips, cracks, stains, crazing or wear. Some missing spots of enamel application when manufactured is noted to the underside (see photo).
